Who We Are
Andy McClure – Marketing Strategist
Prior to founding Sherpa Business Development in 2009, Andy spent over 15 years leading marketing and selling teams and programs for large and small companies. He works directly with each client to architect a comprehensive marketing plan, then arranges the most cost-effective approach to executing that plan — applying Sherpa Business Development’s Inbound Marketing resources, guiding client-side staff who contribute to marketing, and collaborating with marketing vendors that the client already prefers.
Andy earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and his MBA from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester, where he earned the Dean’s Leadership Award and Beta Gamma Sigma Society honors. He has spent most of his professional career in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he resides with his wife and two teenage children.
We have assembled a team of skilled independent professionals providing web and graphic design, copywriting, project management, and HubSpot and other marketing automation platform implementation. We work consistently with all of them, and in several cases, have them on retainer to ensure that they understand our clients’ requirements intimately and provide responsive service. This model allows us to work as a seamless extension of our client organizations.
